Excursion: Bobbin Lace

I wanted to try my hand in Bobbin Lace ever since I saw women in Belgium doing that - approximately 20 years back. It looked like magic and the results looked very delicate and beautiful. So I wanted to try my hand and decided to do an owl as a birthday gift for a fried who is very fond of owls.
So this is the work in progress:
